LUMBERJACK

a small wave groveler version of the monstachief

This board is currently in production, getting great feedback & available to order now. Full breakdown and page coming soon.

New board model: For those of you who love the #Monstachief and want a small wave groveler version, but without the wide tail of the #Monstafish. A fuller nose outline with the wide point moved forward gives the board a little more boosty quick in take off on weak waves. The rocker and heavy single-to-inset double concaves reamain the same as the Monstachief – F (flat and driviest of the Mchief rockers) so you have the same feel just more grovelly and without any weird transition between boards.

Check out the single wing pulled swallowtail version ala MR – the ‘MobstaChief’ here >>

*btw the cf logos on the nose are a custom logo for one of our clients and not included with this new model. And in fact here is feedback from that very surfer who’s name is Frank. We dig Frank, here’s his stoked surfer report about this board from today: “Holy Toledo! Please inform your husband that he Nailed It!! With the magic crankinader baby cry cry grovel machine!!! (Tested at New Jetty this fine eve)  thank you again sooooo much!!!!!! 😎🙏👌”

Chief Sarlo just got his new custom 8’4” x 22" x 3 3/8" #Monstachiefsurfboard gun for Sunset. A new fuller outlined design to move around the lineup with authority, and a pinch more rocker through the back third of the board to rail up some wide open thickbucket arcs in the bowl. Just in time for the North Shore to roar back to life.

So, I had a vision of thickets and trees on a South African plain; rugged beauty where thorns and thistles could provide shade, an oasis in a dry and weary land ... where cool water from subterranean springs mysteriously appears. And that was my inspiration for this resin art.

This is why we build boards the way we do, custom towards the individual and where they want to take their surfing. For honorable, hardworking class folks that are serious about their surfing and appreciate a premium experience that will take their skills to the next level. Everyone is unique and different and more than a height / weight chart amalgamated version of “what the pro’s ride”. We think there’s a far better way than algorithms and automating people. We believe in promoting individual excellence with unparalleled attention to detail. This is Alex from Santa Cruz on a recent Indo trip where he brought a three-pak quiver of Proctors.

Two identical 6’2” x 19 3/8” x 2 5/8” 32.5L #Holyrollersurfboard and this step-up 6’6” x 19 3/8” x 2 3/4” 34.5L #Anteupsurfboard / #Flyinlionsurfboard rocker & bottom.

Here’s his stoked surfer feedback >> just in: “Todd and Charissa, loving the boards!! Got the wave of my dreams in Indo! Be talking to you again soon to get some more.” - Alex
