REALLY PUNCHY AND FAST. YOU CAN REALLY GIVE IT TO THE BOARD AND IT WILL GIVE IT RIGHT BACK TO YOU

“REALLY PUNCHY AND FAST. YOU CAN REALLY GIVE IT TO THE BOARD AND IT WILL GIVE IT RIGHT BACK TO YOU. YOU COULD TURN IT REALLY HARD AND IT WOULDN’T SINK UNDERWATER OR SLIDE OUT. IT HOLDS ITS RAIL AND YOU CAN DRAW YOUR TURNS OUT A LOT MORE THAN A NORMAL EPOXY BOARD. IT’S STURDY.” –DAMIEN HOBGOOD

“I HAD A BLAST SURFING THIS BOARD. WITH THE EPOXY FOAM AND CARBON RAILS, IT WOULD HOLD IN SICK, AND I COULD PUSH IT PRETTY HARD FOR A SMALL BOARD.”

Board Story

A really cool board story: So @surfline got 10 shapers to make one board each for a couple rippers to go ride at a sick right point. We were honored to be a part of it, and so they gave us some dimensions 5’8″ x 18 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ for Caio Ibelli to go looney bins on. I thought why not make something I’ve never made before and something unlike has ever been ridden. So I prepondered a recipe then procured a particular Proctor that produced a G4-71 outline, rocker and centerline curve…but then pulled into it some heavy heavy hydrofoilesque water-cascading concaves for extra lift, rail bite and longer hold…then wrapped it all up in elasticy techtonaught rails (which can oftentimes be mistook for plain ‘ol carbon (and that’s ok) which dampen up a stringerless epoxy and let it ride smoother so you get that nice whippy epoxy bit, but with the feel of rail hold like a poly has. And then we painted it orange cause we like tangerines and orange bang. When all was said and done Caio got a sicky on it smooth as coconut oil in the tropics, but then he had to bail…but not to fear because @damienhobgood got the call up to jump in the game. And boy did he ever. Riding a board made for someone 10 pounds lighter, he glided around on orange crush like a stingin’ bee slingin’ a scalpel!! And the elocution of this man they call Damo… articulates like Abe Lincoln addressing the nation. Thanks to all who made this possible.
