The 6’6″ El Pavote has been awesome.

The attached photo was taken last week at Manresa State Beach in Santa Cruz County on the last day of my 30-Day El Pavote Challenge. The challenge was go to out every day for 30 days, no matter what, and catch at least one wave, starting when I got the board mid-June.

I don’t feel like I’ve really gotten it into anything good enough to get a real feel for what it can do on a wave. But, I’m getting comfortable with it, the 30-Day Challenge was fun, and I have high expectations for when I get it into a little better surf. For now I’m just going to keep surfing it until we get some waves. Fingers crossed for a great fall! Maybe El Nino!

Thanks for a fantastic surfboard!
