Todd, I just had to tell you man. That board, is unbelievable. Bro, you’ve made...

A performance twin fin in the vein of the Mark Richards tradition, but with Jetstream caves and Sluicebox duals inset.
A new version of a design from a classic era….yup, the MR reign. Using one of my current rockers, a smoother transitioning forward outline, modern hull contours and a few different fin options, this board is a speedy wonderkind that is more versatile than it’s once-groundbreaking predecessors. By running a pretty flat rocker with the ultra deep, hydrofoilesque concaves of the jetstream hull, you get a fast, free-riding screamin’ mimi. Fin options to run include: (1)large twins, (2)large twins with small trailer (3)twinzer, (4)thruster, or (5)thruster with little teeny twinzer/ turbulence blocker fins.
Ideal conditions: knee high to head high, mushy or hollow…works best on overhead and hollow days with thruster set-up.
Experience: intermediate through advanced.
Designed for: free-riding gull gaffs, and super-speeding needle threading

So what are those little dug out steps in the wings for anyway? Ok, I’ll tell you…this is afreshly shaped 5’10” x 20” x 2 9/16” 32L#Twinturbine #Performancetwinner for my friend Erik.
Erik rips in the barrel. I’ve seen him get so slotted with goofyfootstyle like Bobby and come flyin out with the spit so many times. He needed something to keep him in the water when it’s small; and something fast and easy. Erik is one of those rare friends that is as psyched as you to just go surf. No silly banter gossip about stuff that doesn’t matter; no insecure testing your patience with put downs like people that become a little too familiar with you and let their true colors come out…and you find they just want to get something from you not just share good times with you. So here’s to simple frothy real compadres that keep it positive and tell you to keep on fighting the good fight (like a good big brother would do). Anyway, that’s who’s getting this board…and now on to those step rails back in the tail. They simply create a more sensitive bite in the wave face back where the fins knife in and engage. Like having a nice thinned out rail under your back foot, but keeping plenty of foam in the tail so you can sink the rail and have it push back and zing outta turns. So…there you go…daz wut dat duz.

Todd Proctor….Dale Rhodes….hey buddy. You’re funny. Dude that twin fin I’m riding and I might...
Good morning Kids, Hope you had a great Easter and were able to relax this...
This just happened: My friend Kenny said, “I wanna do a ‘back to the future’ kinda throwback board fast and furious, drivey and planey like an 80’s board but with a full nose and a single wing swallowtail…for skitterin’ skeeterin’ and blasting apart small kine mushy connecto peaks.” So…I took the nose outline of the #Lilrascalsurfboard and the tail outline of the #twinturbinesurfboard and fused that with the hull and rocker of the #Grovelchiefsurfboard and gave it a flat 80’s style deck with down rails ala Gerry Lopez lightning bolt era, and then plopped a beak on it. It rides as a 2+1 MR style fin set-up. Look out Zeros you ain’t gonna comprehend what’s about to hit ya. 5’3” x 19 1/2” x 2 3/8” 28L …
This twin fin right here, the one on the left, has a lot of people talking. This latest variant of the performance twin fin model is bringing new, flourishing, joy/filled life and health and glide and speed and free-ness with grip and buckets of glory galore…it’s called the #Twinstitchsurfboard and it uses the bottom line and rocker of the #Zipstitchsurfboard combined with the outline and rails of the #Twinturbinesurfboard / a wider nose, narrower tailed, single-wing swallow with a slot channel through the tail for extra traction. @petemendia tells me, “I feel like I’m losing my mind on this thing!” …
Well, well, well.. look what the cat dragged in:
@petemendia in V-town to test out a few new designs. Always so fun to run down to the local beachie and see my friend tear it up. Today we surfed till dark and got attacked by a swarm of bloodthirsty mosquito’s in the car park. It was extremely traumatic, but worth the historical moment when we both realized that we think we may have a few new break-through designs…and no matter what goes on in the world, the feeling of new boards and a good sesh seems to make soldiering on, feel like victory is just around the corner.

It’s official, this board right here is my new favorite. A brand new design I’m calling “The Unlikely Candidate”. Why? Because at first glance she doesn’t look like much and at first glance maybe even just downright ugly…but, what it’s got going for it: SPEED!! As Rocky Balboa’s boxing coach used to say, “Fast, smooth, greasy SPEED! I needed a board to make small, mushy, sectiony point surf not just skate-across-able, but with an engine to dig into it with deep guts power. So what it entails is: a #Twinturbinesurfboard outline; a #Monstachief flat deck and down rails to keep plenty of liters under the hood while coupling a sensitive bitey lower volume rail for quick response and knife in the face; and a flat-rockered version of the all-new (still trippin’ on it) #Falcon2surfboard extreme reverse vee to extremo deep single with full barrel double caves inset through the fins hull contour…and a beak nose to keep it thick and paddle like a nuclear reactor. It’s a game changer hull combination that turns out most modern machines can’t even cut due to its severe design. But our old trusty machine can ;). I’m running mine at 5’9” x 20 1/4” x 2 11/16” 36L with MR style side fins and a small thruster fin in back…and I feel the glide like I’m 16 again. Yeeeeeeeeewwwew
#unlikelycandidatesurfboard …
Yes, it’s true, Bill Gates may think of you as a useless waste of space, but Pete Mendia thinks there’s plenty of room on this planet…to spray you real good as you paddle by.
