Proxy Epoxy Ridiculite

Shaper’s Note:

The unique construction of the “Proxy Ridiculite” series (Ultralightweight reinforced w/ carbon stringer patches) yields a board that self-adjusts its rocker to fit the changing curve of the wave. This ‘suspension system’ creates increased torque and drive leading into, and following out of, maneuvers. This construction is ideally suited to waves slightly overhead & under. The future of surfing is boards with self-adjusting rocker that form-fit to the curve of the wave, making your second, third & forth maneuvers bigger and more powerful; even though the wave may be losing momentum, your board will be gaining speed. -Todd

Instead of using standard fiberglass cloth in the glassing process,greased-pig-carbon

a combination of S-glass and a specialty woven unidirectional carbon stringer matrix is employed.

Stringer varieties include an optional composite, shatter-resistant stringer.

This board layup exhibits increased & enhanced flex characteristic;

while the structural integrity of the board’s break strength is kept intact with use of strategic carbon reinforcement

High impact hybrid foam core

[a lightweight (lighter than teamlite Proxy epoxy) foam that yields a higher compression strength & has very limited water absorption if dinged];

Hybrid/epoxy resins

engineered for maximum break strength, as well as a “loaded” rebound response characteristic.

Custom glassing options:

  • Ridiculite – fright-light, crazy flex, ultimate performance, 2-3 x stronger than a poly.

as well as the option to include the Carbon Stringer Patches on our other standard layups:

  • Teamlite – ultralight, amazing flex, elite performance, 2-3 x stronger than a poly
  • Middleweight – more strength / a bit less flex, 3-5 x stronger than a poly.
  • Super-duty – indestructo, 5+ x stronger than pretty much any board out there

Surfer feedback:

“You can feel it bending into the face of the wave when you push through turns & it has so much thwang in the lip. Perfect for all kinds of different waves as an everyday board.” – Nick Rozsa
