HB CLIFFS went off yesterday…. October combo Santa Ana morning special seasonal limited rekease on The Sleeker Love love love that board especially as a twinny. For me, quads just seem too locked in like I’m on roller coaster rails...

Fishtalk 1 minute short
Here’s a one minute snippet of our new 16 minute short film about the newly redeemed and refashioned Postmodern Retroactive Fish. Full video in next slide. It’s all talkin’ and board flippin’ from the shapeshifter’s private room, but we think you’ll enjoy this little fishy’s diatribe almost as much as riding one.
Fishtalk: new twist on a classic
A new twist on a traditional design. Set down squat down or lie down, cuz here’s 16 minutes or so about a surprising adventure that changed Todd’s perspective on combining modern high performance design features with classic fish concepts.

“Gut that fish” – the all new modern retroactive Twin/Quad Fang uses progressive rocker & deep heavy concaves for a board that gets up on plane, and holds a rail through full-speed carves like none before it. I’ve literally gutted the belly of the beast so she has more efficient water flow, making her speedy as all get out with no lack of fast-twitch muscle fiber rail response. Go on, and manhandle the baby. Other features include 80s style flat deck to pack on the liters combined with sloped, downrails and hard edges to knife your corners at zip-stitch top velocity. Nose features a subtle beaky buzzard.
6’6″ x 23 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ 56L (see below for more popular dims)
This board combines a modernized, sleeked up retro fish outline with a progressive rocker and one-of-a-kind freaky hull contours. Glide or gouge, float or carve, crouch low with five on the nose, or stand tall and arch the back.
Introducing a new rocker and hull contours to the traditional fish outline. A very deep single concave running from entry through the entire bottom and even off the tail, with inset deep doubles inside the single (we are calling them “sluice-box” caves).
This extreme hull contour creates a water jet effect (we are calling it the “jet stream”) by using gravity and centrifugal force to speed water across and through the entirety of the bottom of the board.

New board model: For those of you who love the #Monstachief and want a small wave groveller version, but without the wide tail of the #Monstafish. A fuller nose outline with the wide point moved forward gives the board a little more boosty quick in take off on weak waves. The rocker and heavy single-to-inset double concaves reamain the same as the Monstachief – F (flat and driviest of the Mchief rockers) so you have the same feel just more grovelly and without any weird transition between boards. Stay tuned for a single wing pulled swallowtail version ala MR coming soon. *btw the cf logos on the nose are a custom logo for one of our clients and not included with this new model. And in fact here is feedback from that very surfer who’s name is Frank. We dig Frank, here’s his stoked surfer report about this board from today: “Holy Toledo! Please inform your husband that he Nailed It!! With the magic crankinader baby cry cry grovel machine!!! (Tested at New Jetty this fine eve) thank you again sooooo much!!!!!! 😎🙏👌” #monstachieflumberjack

Stoked surfer feedback: this just in >> “Just wanted to give some feedback on the two boards. The monsta chief is amazing, between the channels and swallow tail it feels like the board just wants to take off on its own. That being said it’s been hard to tear myself away from the monsta fish. It’s fast, loose, cruisy, had a blast on it all summer especially point breaks where it has some room to move. I thought I had the board figured out, then last week during a run of decent swell I threw in some quad rears and head to some punch beach break. I was blown away, it might as well be a different board. Crazy fast and responsive. Looking forward to exploring its upper limits this winter, but I think one thing is for certain, it’s definitely not just a groveler!” —Nick 34/6’3”/200lb | l6’2” x 21 1/4” x 2 7/8” 42L #monstafish #proxyepoxy #surferfeedback

What do you call it when you re-imagine a classic Skip Frye Glider longboard into a 7’6” x 24” x 3 1/2” 73L fish 🐠 🐟 🎣…and then add heavy concaves running from nose to tail with sluicebox duals inset…to help aid and abet bigger guys and older guys sail across vast broad expanses like a turn through the ice skating rink???
I call it the #Monstafish and I love seeing the smile it brings to that cross section of surfers. This ones for Chris who’s headed to points in Costa Rica 🇨🇷.
